2010, 4.0 no crank no start

Just bought the 2010 Mustang change the plug wires and a new battery now it won’t crank won’t start. I don’t know if it’s locked out on a patch or anti-theft I don’t know what’s wrong with it. Can you help please be much appreciated. Thanks.

Assuming it started/ran fine prior to changing the batter and plug wires? Does it click when you try to turn on the car? or like literally nothing happens?

Everything seems to work except no crank. Can jump starter with screwdriver.

I’ve only had it a week, I didn’t notice it before that there is a car with a lock icon on the gauges blinking.

So, you can jump the solenoid to start the car?


Then replace the solenoid. If that doesn't solve it, you need to look at your ignition switch.

Either that you put something back together wrong.

It doesn’t start the car but with the screwdriver it cranks over, I put a couple different relays, switched it out with a couple of the other one’s.

Change the starter solenoid and/or ensure that everything was put back together correctly.

The solenoid on your car is the round cylinder piggy-back on the starter. The [relay] in your car, I think is mounted nearby the starter or is mixed in with the under-hood fuse panel.

If the relay is clicking but the starter is not starting then the solenoid is bad or wired wrong.
