Car had 45,000miles. It had 3.73 gears when I bought it from previous owner. HD a whinning noise the past few months so had ford dealer change ring and pinion. Whinning noise is gone but now has a knock only when my foot is on accelerator while in gear. For example, if I'm at 50mph in 6th and tap the accelerator, I hear a knock. Does not do it while out of gear or if I'm not touching accelerator. Any ideas?
