With rumors around, I've been keeping a careful eye out for 2011 mustang press releases. I'm personally excited about the possibility of the twin turbo ecoboost 3.5 making 400+hp in the mustang, and of course the 400hp 5.0 with possibly direct injection. I'll likely be in the market for a new mustang in 1-2 years.
For now, the only official news is on what I didn't much care about... the v6 model. Yet I'm surprised to find it is exciting too:
a 3.7l V6 making 305hp, 280 ft lbs of torque (my 4.6 barely had that much torque from the factory!)
6 speed manual with optional 3.31 gears
30mpg highway, which is just awsome. No one else in the market can compete
10,000 mile oil change interval
Ford is really stepping up!

I haven't read any of the press releases or followed anythingrelated to it however why would Ford abandon the 4.6 motor? The newer models are putting down wonderful numbers and are actually really responsive to mods.
