245 & 315 instead of 275 & 315 ??

is there a down side to running 245/45/17's or 245/40/17's on the front, and 315/35/17's on the rear ??

or would it be better to grab the 275/40/17 on the front??

I dont want the fronts to look too thick .. but, performance is a def a factor

for drag racing it doesn't matter that much.

if you are running 17x8s go w/ the 245
17x9 rim step up to 275s.

I've got 245s on my 17x9 03 cobra wheels. I don't like the looks since the tire seems strecthed. I'm gonna run a 265 or 275 up front and 295s out back.
