255-50-16 on my pony weels !?!

Well I have 245/50/16's all around and they do fine....I think 255/50/16's would be just a little big for stock ponies...Those tires will probably roll alot on the corners....

I had the size tire you want only I have 205s in the front, For the rear I did have to remove the quad shocks, and roll the fenders, I now have 245/45/17 and I spin all the time, I miss having fat tires, I have to drive slowly now to avoid spinning, maybe it's just the cold...

Yeah the cold weather had a big effect on my traction....in the summer I could take off from 5 mph and it would just take off and go.....but now I can't get traction till 60 Darn the cold weather

Hy there... U can calculate the tire size yourself... 225-55-16 225:100=2.25 2.25*55=123.75 123.75*2=247.5 16*25.4mm=406.4 247.5+406.4=653.9 653.9*3.05=1994.395 Okay, this is: 225-tirewith in millimeters 55-fiftyfive percent of tirewith is the height of the tire 16-the rim size in inch. So, the profile is 55 percent of the tirewith=123.75mm The rim size is 16inch, thats 406.4mm, and the wheel diameter is 123.75*2 =247.5mm plus the rimsize, 406.4mm, thats 653.9mm. If U will know the wheel rolling diameter, one turn (circle) use 3.05 instead of 3.14 (because U will loose some mm because of the airpressure/flat ground pressure...) So the total circle of this tire is 653.9mm*3.05=1994.395. The other tire is 2017.27mm THEN, if U are using a3.73:1 ring gearing, standard tirecircle multiplyed with the gearing,devided to the new tirecircle is the actual ring gearing. Your eksample is ,1994.395 *3.73 :2017.27=3.687. It is normal to use approx. plus/minus 5 percent of the standard tirecircle.... Puuuhhh... good luck.

i have 255 60 16 on the back on stock ponies i have 245 50 16 in front but they rub the fender extensions. they came with my 88 GT
