Can I run 275 tires on the stock 17x8 rims? I would like to at least out back run 275s.

Thanks.

BTW to keep things correct it will be 275/40/17 right?

They will bulge some but they will fit...probalby not the best for handling...Nitto DR 275/40's fit better than regular tires will since they are skinnier...

Thats prolly what will end up on the back, for now anyways. I was even thinking about getting the 10th ann wheels for my silver cobra? Should look sharp...those are 17x9 so that would be a bit better for other tires too eh?

Yes, a 9" wheel would be better.
I have Nitto 275/40/17 DR's on my stock wheels (17x8). Nitto's run smaller than most other tires though, so I don't think a BFG in that same size would fit.

For my Cobra R 18's I just ordered a set of BFG DR's 295/35/18. These are on the car most of the time on the street.

So what would you guys recomend as an ideal tire for 17x9's?
I have them and currently still have 245's. I have NO traction and want to bump the size up in the rear.

For 17x9" wheels the 'ideal' size of tire is a 275/40/17...I have them on my 03 Cobra rims and they look and fit perfect...That's what comes stock on 03-04 Cobra's...
