281 options?

I know for sure that you can stroke it to a 302, but many people will say go big bore. Stroking it will give you some torque iirc, but it's not worth the money.

Do a quick search, youll find your answers.

I bored out my block .030 over with Probe 9:1 compression pistons. Runs great so far; no dyno results yet as it's crappy winter season :(

That would probably bring you to about 283cid. I wonder what companies are boring the 4.6L out, then sleeving it to achieve a "big bore".

Anyone with any info on this?

i know that CHP makes a 5.0L and 5.1L but they dont have them on the web page
I emailed them this week about the 5.1L. I've been shopping shortblocks and i like the fact that its an iron block with some overbore and stroke. Its 310 CI and cost @ 4000. The VT shortblock is @ 5000 but you need to have a aluminum block to trade.
