I think you'll want the 40 sidewall. Your going to feel every damn bump in the road with 35. Plus you can damage your rims more easily with a smaller sidewall.

Get 285/35/18's. Thats the right sidewall for a correct speedometer reading and it'll look right.

Mine rides fine. And i've had 35 sidewalls with a 275 and a 285 and on 2 different springs, Sportlines and H&R SuperSports. Ask the guys on this forum with 18's out back and i guarentee about 95% are running a 35 sidewall and its fine and is the correct diameter. Trust me man

I have 275/35/18's on 18x9's. BFG G-Force Sports.. Ride quality is just fine.

285/40/18 is way too tall, will make your car slower (unless you are supercharged), and will mess up your speedo.

i have the predator tuner so the speedo is an easy fix i am actually thinking about selling my 18x10.5, my front rims are17x9 and getting 17x10.5 out back, tires are a lot cheaper for 17's if anyone wants to buy the 18's or the 17's too for that matter let me know, they have never even been mounted just sat in my room for 3 months... thanks for the input

I went with 285/35/18s on the rears and mine ride just as smooth when I had the 245/45/17s, if not smoother. You gotta lowered it though if you haven't already to get the the full affect.

do not get 40 series tires you will hate yourself once you have them on your car. I had 285/40/18s on my 18x10" saleens with 255/40/18s in the front and the back tires were way bigger looking than the fronts. I ended up getting them dismounted and bought 295/35s and they look great.

If i were you i would find some 315/35s or somethin like that for your 10.5" rear.

i wouldnt go any more narrow than 295 on a 10.5" rim.
