289/302 crankshaft question?

Will a newer 302 (50oz) crank work in a early 289 block with the 289 rods and pistons?

If you had everything balanced to 28 . . . yes.

Even so, the 289 rod and P/H of the 289 piston will be above the deck with a 3" stroke.
