29in tire,can it be done?

Picked up some fr500 wheels over the weekend.I got them for a good deal and they came with 305/45/18 Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials.Anyone try to run a tire that tall?I got 3.73s and will be on my car with a vortech pushing 10lbs. So it will be like having 3:55 gears,correct?

It will be like running 3.27's

at 70mph you will be at 2krpm with 305/45/18 and 3.73's

at 70mph you will be at 2.3k rpm with 275/40/17's with 373's
