2v to 4v heads

Hello all, I have just aquired a 4.6 out of a crown vic pursuit vehicle that has 5000 miles on the engine, that was totaled out in a crash. I also have a 65 fastback that I am in the process of installing a Heidt's Mustang II IFS.

Question is can the 2V 4.6 Block be fitted with the 4V heads? In other words, can I turn this engine into a "cobra" engine by swapping on new heads and Kenne Bell blower?

Honestly it will cost you so much money to fabricate the
4V cylinder heads to fit you probably won't want to do it.
You should just stick with the 2V cylinder heads and work
on them like porting them.

I agree, I've never known anyone who has done this, and that's because for the price and PITA, you might as well just buy a cobra engine and drop that in.

Yea, been doing more online research...don't think this is a good idea, BUT, what kind of power can a 4.6 2V motor make? can you put a kenne bell on it,

Yea, you can KB it, and you can definately get the 2v well over the 500-600 hp range, it just depends on how much you can spend.

What year crown vic engine?
and yes the 2V with a KB can be quite potent...500rwhp is easily attainable as long as your shortblock can take it.
