How much faster will the car be at cruising speed on the freeway going form 3.31 to 3.00 gears? I understand its a little vague. But any ideas? 5mph? 10mph? 15mph?

For the same RPM at 70 MPH as your 3.31 gear you will be up 7.2 MPH at the same RPM with the 3.0 gear. Where'd you get a 3.31 gear? That's not a stock ratio.

at cruising speed the car will be going the same speed, you will be turning a little less rpm with the 3.00 gears, maybe 150-200 rpm less than the 3.31 with the same size tire

With the 3.31's at 70 ur running about 3011 RPM, with the 3.00's you'll run about 2729 RPM (using 70mph for cruise speed)

That is what I experienced when I went from 3.00s to 3.27 gears. Unfortunatly 1st gear is far too quick now and in the Winter I need to take off in 2nd gear.

Ya, I'm tired of my 3.89s in my car. Prob will be going to 3.00 also. Was fine with a N/A engine, but now with all this TQ I definitly dont need 3.89s.
