Was a little disappointed to see my car had the 3.31s in it since my main interest is the 1/4 mile. Im eventually going to get 3.73s in it anyway, but how much different would the 1/4 mile time be between a stock GT with 3.31s vs the 3.55s?

Going to run my car at E-town tonight while its bone stock before I start installing the mods.

If your main intrest is the 1/4, put in 4.30 gears, I wish I had done it. I have a thread with a gear chart; do a search for "Gear Chart" with bynumj as the poster and you should be able to find it.

4.10 is a great street/strip rear gear. Anything more than that will be tough on the highway, it will feel like your opening a parachute every time you let off of the gas.

3.31's are not that bad. My car has ran quicker than friends cars with more bolt on's including 3.55's so I don't think it'll make a HUGE difference. I have 4.10's now and really enjoy them.

Depends on the mods man. My car is actually FASTER with 3.55 than it was with 4.10 . If you get traction and have all that torque down low, then taller gears are actually worse for performance.

You won't notice a difference between 4.10's and 4.30's so you might as well go with the 4.30's.

Traction issues w/ 4.10's and the extra 3-4 shift you need once above 3.55's often cause this. I know it did w/ me.
