3.8 stroker or turbo

I am new to rhe 3.8 world but a competent vw wrench. I'm looking to squeeze more reliable hp out of it using pump gas. This motor is in a sandrail. Looking for a good source for a stroker kit, turbo. Any suggestions? Not afraid of a little work. Just not looking to dump 10k into it either.

Or... does it make more sense to swap the motor out? Is there another that will bolt up to the trans? 300 hp range.
