Just changed my fuel neck grommet Saturday, filled up and added lucas fuel treatment. Now car is taking too long to start. I have a 2000 3.8 .
Any suggestions on what could be the cause?
Fuel pressure leak down from a leaking or damaged fuel basket check valve.
Try this. Cycle the key on/pause/off several times without cranking. Does this improve (reduce) cranking time? If so, likely the fuel pressure is low. It's not being maintained during starting/running attempts.
