I Have A 03 Mustang With A 3.8l Broken Engine.
Can I Replace It With A 04 3.9l And What Modifications I'll Need ?

yes you can and there is no modification needed....if you plan on adding perfomance parts in the future this will be a good time get a forged bottom end (rods, and pistons) you can check them out at supersixmotorsports.com

Don't you still have warranty on it, if you do Ford will replace it, unless you did things with it.

Ford makes a 3.9 that is a v8 has, dohc, and 4 valves per cylinder which is rated at 280 hp. Its a custom swap and costs a **** load. I was thinking about doing it, its quite expensive to do.

if not then dropping a 3.9 with the right parts would be great
