I have Superchips Max Microtuner (1725) and had it ever since I had my old 3.27 cogs on them. Everything worked great.

When the 3.90 gear set came in, I re-installed the tune and specified my gear ratio. Now my gear shifts are a little strange. It feel as if my gearbox shifts into 2nd then third in like a matter of a second. I went back to the tuner and set all gear shift points to "stock" and things seem to work fine.

Is this because the tuner didn't calibrate shift points for the 3.90 gear ratio?

I've got the same tuner, and 3.73 gears. It does the same thing. You can change the shift points, with the tuner, to shift later, but it'll still shift up pretty quick, at light throttle. That's just life with an auto and gear changes. Guys with 4.10's and Diablo Predators, have problems with full throttle down shifts. The best option seems to be the SVT tuner. From what I've read it gives the most adjustments, with good results. In general, the 1725, works pretty good under most conditions, with the shift settings set to max late settings. I also recommend the J-mod.

What is an "SVT tuner?" Do you mean the SCT Strategy Flash?
