I have a 4 foot long 3" exhaust pipe and a 3" dynomax bullet muffler I bought from summit. I still need to get the dp. I'm thinking of dumping it in front the rear end on the passenger side. Do you think this will sound alright or should I route it all the way back? 87 TC engine in a 89 stang w/ t3 turbo @ 17 psi. Right now I have some crappy 1-3/4 inch or what ever was stock on this 4 banger. I'm sure this should open it up some.

If you're wanting to run no cat, and use the bullet and dump it, be aware that it will be LOUD. Not a good loud either. With a cat it may be quieter but I woudln't count on it sounding much better.

Dumping it before the rear without a cat doesn't make it loud but instead makes it annoying, it resonates so bad you get a headache after a few hours of driving. I have 3" downpipe to a 3" magnaflow to a 3" mandrel bent tailpipe out the back, sounds great and doesn't resonate.

With a bullet muffler? No, it makes it LOUD. Trust me, I did it, and I know what it sounded like. Loud and crappy. Turbo sounded good though.

Sorry, no sound clip as of yet, I will be posting pics and clips once I get the idle straightened out.
