well if the freaking vt stage 2 n/a cams would ever come into stock I would tell you if full bolt ons + stage 2's + tune = 300rwhp

with the head work, Id say you would have a good chance. Hotmustang331 has full boltons, vt stage 1 cams, electric water pump, and stock heads and has I think 292. So if you get head work and everything he has.......300 should be within reach. For sure if you went with the stage 2 cams.

yup thats true you'll have more of a chance with the stg 2's and full bolt-on's and the P&P heads......Hotmustang331 will chime in later i know he will and yup he hit 292 with every bolt-on and electric water pump all he needs is P&P heads to get over 300HP

No, 450HP (crank) is usually the limit of the bottom end and thats with FI.

Some magazine did a write-up on a build for the NPI GT's that was N/A. It pushed 450hp (note: I never said rwhp). I will try to find it online for you. Again, I heard this from a friend, so I can't be POSITIVE that it's a fact. We'll find out in due time.

or maybe a dyno tune. the tune he has is what CK gave him b4 the LT's. So I think he could get it to 300 on the dyno IMO

I have heard that I should go with vt stage 1's because the stock bottom end can not rev up high enough to take advantage of the stage 2's. What do you guys think I should do?? I'ts my dd by the way.

Well if your going through the hassle of P&P heads I'd do stg 2 cams.
Also if your planning on launching on slicks I hope you've already upgraded the rearend. to some good axles.
Didn't Jackie run in the 12's with bolt ons? You say you got the driver mod so go for it.

Ya I was planning on beefing up the rear end. All I need is a 31 spline axle and those are around 400 bucks right???

I just installed my BBK Ceramic Longtubes and O/R H....... what a pain in the I felt results right away though...tires seem to wanna break loose pretty easy My boys down here at USA motorsports say with a Dyno Tune they should be able to eclipse the 280RWHP mark as they are an official dealer for the Diablo Predator and they say they got some pretty good custom tunes.

i went 12's once in my vert with midpipe, dumps, 4.10s, pullies, chip and plenm/tb on stock bullitts and et streets.

my cobra put the same power down as a 2v and has gone 12's quite a few times

most guys with full exhaust and boltons in coupes go mid 12's on slicks in decent weather and then lower 12's with cams and 11's with cams/heads

It doesn't, I thought you were talking about your times. Weight has everything to do with times.

Man, I bought my Bassani from them. Too bad they don't have a dyno at their shop. The only dyno that I know of in Arlington is at Alamo Autosports. It's not a Mustang dyno, but my car dyno'd at 196rwhp on it. I don't think it is accurate.

well i guess im gonna go ahead and get flamed, but my tuner is insisting that i will make 320 or more with the new forged SB, LT's, OR H, P&P heads stage 2 cams and the other bolt ons. i know yall dont agree, and I will just have to wait for the Dyno to see. I have found a mustang Dyno close by so ill be a few HP lower. I will let yall know when it happens.. looks to be a week away.

thats about right for a NPI GT with a few boltons. Mine was 281rwhp (auto with borla catback) when I was still NPI. I need to get mine to the dyno to get tuned to see if i'm near 300rwhp or not.

maybe with 4.10 or 4.30 gears u might be able to run high 12s. Id say more around the area of 13.1 to 13.4

Are you nuts!? Stock mach 1s run 13.1s-13.4 and they only have 275rwhp. U think with 300rwhp a lighter GT can't break 12s?!?! With a good driver he'd be mid 12s!
