Hi, I have a 1993 Mustang 5.0 HO 302 I am putting into a 1966 Mustang fastback. I have 1966 mustang HIPO engine mounts that I bought new that I am using. I put the engine w/ trans in the car, bolted all the mounts tightly and everything is out of wack.
I have Hooker Comp headers, the driver’s side header is almost touching the shock tower, and the passenger side has an inch of clearance. The front of the engine is 3/4 of an inch too high compared to my other 66 mustang 289. The driver’s side valve cover is also about 1/3 of an inch lower than the passenger’s side. When looking at the engine you can see that the whole engine is twisted and too high.
Anyone who has put a 5.0 engine in their 66 mustang, did you have any problems? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Brent
