I am seriously purchasing a wrecked 95 GT and I was wondering what I would all need for the swap into my 2000 GT? I have a Tubular K-member in the 2000, do I need to get some special motor mounts? Also, will my 2000 transmission mate up to it or will I need a different bellhousing? Thanks In Advance

sounds like its gonna be difficult, the first 05 mustang into the 9's (et) had a 5.0 in it, so its possible, i dont know anything more than that its possible lol anything is

You said that the first '05 inthe 9's was a 5.0, right? Are you sure it was a pushrod or was it the stroked 5.0 cammer engine? A ohc bored and stroked and cammed to achieve more power and the old 5. displacement. I would say mod the 4.6. Or if it is in your budget, buy a junked '01 up Cobra engine then use the core for a crate. Friend of mine slung 2 rods in his '01 cobra and only paid $3000.00 for his crate '01 engine from a SVT authorized dealership and parts dept.

if im not mistaken the k member is the same from 79-04

Nope, there are a few different k-members actually. I beleive the 2.3L, 3.8L V6 and 5.0 k-member is the same. The early fox inline-6 k-member is different as well as the SVO K-member. The 4.6L K-member is unique as well.

For the cost of swapping in a stock '95 302 motor in (which has less HP and TQ than the 2000 GT motor) you could build up one hell of a 4.6L engine.

You would need a new trans by the way, the t-45 won't bolt up to a 5.0

No, it was a pushrod 302 based motor not a cammer.

Same question - for the same amout of money and work, you could have a really honkin' 4.6 with a turbo or supercharger.

:stupid:

I suppose you plan to ditch the EFI too, and use a carb?:jester:

I do apologize. I hate it when people second guess my project car. Maybe we just need more detail as to why you want to do this swap? What are your goals and objectives?
