yes, I am 16 years old and I also have a 91 mustang, So far the car has

302 CI
Bored and Decked
Shaved stock heads
E303 Cam
BBK shorty headers
BBK H-Pipe
Flowmasters

I am fixing to take the motor out and switch from Fuel Injection to Carb. I am
installing an Edelbrock Air-Gap intake w/Holley Street Avenger Carb, and I am
installing a pair of GT-40 heads. Since I am only 16 this is all the money I will
have to put into the motor. Will I see a big difference from going from stock
fuel injection to the carb and intake setup and also the heads w/ the mods above.

And also are there any people who have switched to carb and like it, please
I need your opinions on this. Thanks, CHRIS

Just out of curiosity, what benefits do you expect to see from switching to a carb setup???

Hmm, you sound close to me, I am 17!

I wouldnt switch from carbed to Fuel injection, And I wouldnt switch from fuel injection to carbed.

But if you have a block that you can go either way with, I prefer carbed, just what I like, Technically, you wouldnt gain anything that isnt already achievable, but how quick and what you need to achieve the horspower your motor produces depends on your set up, when everything is said and done and everything is on, FI is way easier to tune.

But I prefer carb just because I like the fact that everything can be fixed without having to deal with a computer etc.

I am running a completley NON-EMISSION motor, so this was the way to go for me.

But it all really depends on the person.

There is another thread similar to this topic. I think the general consensus is that it costs quite a bit to switch from FI to carb because of all the required parts. It's probably cheaper and more efficient just to use your FI components. Even if you do switch to carb, why are you taking the motor out?

why not just an eddelbrock rpm with a 70 mm tb

same effectiveness and better for the street.

question: how do you have a 302 if its bored and decked. so you have a 306 or 305...

do yourself a favor and dont run the e cam with the gt40s

Well the reason I am switching from fuel Injection to carb is because I am
putting the motor in a 95 v6 car and the fuel Injection would not work unless
you took all the wiring and harness etc... from a 5.0, So I said what the heck
I my as well put a carb on it because I just like the carb. I had a fuel Injection set up before on another 302 then switched it to carb and felt like it
had alot more power and torque and instant throttle responce.
