Thinking of making a good investment...

Factory Ford SVO four bolt main bearing 302 cubic inch engine block. Ford part number M-6010-A4. This is a brand new engine block still in it's original box, and has never been used. It is a bare block with no internal engine components that was originally offered by Ford through their SVO product line. It is similar to the original Boss 302 engines, but has been upgraded and strengthened by Ford to tolerate high performance applications

This is also known as the A-4 block correct? Anyone know anything about them, such as pre machined??? ect ect..

They require a fair amount of machining, usually $600-$1000. A few years ago the A-4 was replaced by the R302 which still requires a good bit of machining. Not sure how much you can get that A4 for but the DART 302 block requires much less machining and is supposed to be stronger with better oiling and is 4 bolt on all 5 main caps.

My buddy is a DART dealer and has pretty good prices if you are interested.

Rick is right. The Dart is the best block. However it costs more, unless you can get a deal. I know when they came out they were $2g's. But they will handle more horsepower than any streetable car can toss at it.

However, I am a big fan of the A4 and would recommend you buy it. I checked out your webpage and your horsepower numbers. It is the perfect block for the power you are making. Not to mention that it is hard to find one now that has not been used.

Does the person you are buying it from have any more? I would be interested.

By the way, very nice ride!
