I've been looking at E-Bay for valve covers to try and dress up my 94GT and found THESE. While searching through E-Bay, I noticed that some of the Valve covers for sale say things like "Intended for older Mustangs only." These particular ones do not, so my question is are there different bolt patterns for older 302's versus the 94 / 95s or is it a height of the cover issue? What's the story on this, because I don't want to buy covers I can't install.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Fox valve covers have to be modded to fix the 94/95 5.0 the alternator sit to close and you must grind them down. The spout where you pour the oil also sits extremly close the the elbow on our intakes. They can be made to fit by some minor modding to them.

Those VC look like they belong on a Carb 302 instead of an EFI stang.

Any suggestions on where I can find similar looking VC for an EFI 302? Id' prefer not to go through a grinding down process. I also don't want el cheapo all chrome ones either though. I like the ford Motorosport look mixing black and chrome.

As far as I know no one makes an after market vc's for our cars. The only thing we can do is mod up the foxs to ours.

I have gone thru 2 sets of VCs....Trust me, you need to modify the intake with a 1/2 spacer minimum to get those in. They look to be 3" tall anyway...if your running a stock intake, odds are the TPS will hit the top...the drivers side rear nipple on the intake will need to be shortened, as it will hit....
Will those clear RRs??? They dont look it...if your stock now, then swap some RRs in the future, you got another problem....Those look like they would clear the alternator as their kinda "swept" on the corner....

Heres some chromes you can get on Ebay for like 20.00....they will need the above...will clear RRs tho, stockers are next to em...I ran these for a year or so...Cheap but effective...

These are a full 4" tall...even more mods to get em in...they all will fit...you just gotta play around and fab some....Paint your stockers and be done with it is another option??? Or try the Fox ones..they can be done up nicely to...

Much better looking.... If you wanna play you gotta pay when it comes to VCs on these motors...

Yeah, that's the look I want to get to eventually. Preferrably decked out with a Trickflow manifold and their twisted wedge heads.

Sweet!

I have fox covers and I didn't have to mod them. as far as the alt issues is you take the top bolt out and pull it to the side the covers fit in fine onlt problem i had was gettign the breather cap back on after i put everything back together which i think has a lot to do with my new intake setup
