I thought these were not interchangeable, but I'm just learning about Fords. A guy from Roush insists that a 351w will fit my 302. Is this correct?

a 351w intake will not fit a 302, but with the right adapters a 302 intake can be put on a 351w.

351W and 302 HEADS are interchangeable.

Yes, but the 351W block is about an inch taller and wider than the 302.

That is what I was really trying to say, but I guess it came out wrong.

Thanks for the backup.

This is all assuming carb's intake. However, an upper from an EFI intake will fit either 302 or 351, but the lower won't interchange.

if you had an intake that was unique to the 302, but wanted to put it on a 351w or even a c, then the only way is intake adapters.
