I remember a post awhile back about what ford does for the 30K mark and all I remember is the fuel filter. I was thinking about saving myself some money by doing as much as possible on my own, but first I need to know what to do. So what would they do at the dealer if I were to take it in and how much of it could an average joe like myself with tools, jack and stands be able to do.
Thanks

You can do it all man. There is nothing in the 30k service or any routine service that you cannot do. Do you have a Haynes manual? You should get one, it is for guys just like you. Also it has the service steps and intervals you are asking about.

tyre rotation
brake inspection
flush coolant
flush power steering fluid
flush auto trans fluid or drain and fill manual trans fluid
change fuel filter
change air filter
change oil and filter
fuel injection service
thats what we did at my dealer

its also a good time to
replace plugs
change diff fluid
change windshield wipers
clean MAF and IAC
change trans filter
alignment

its all stuff you can do on your own really. usually by 30k miles you generally need at least front brake pads. maybe tyres.
