31 SPLINE YEAR MODELS???

What year models had 31 spline axles ???

I believe the 8.8 explorers had 31 splines

If you are looking for axles, none will fit the fox 8.8

carriers will

31 and 33 splines will fit. I just put 33 spline Mosers and a spool with c-clip elim. in my 8.8 no prob.

I was referring tp the axles found in factory applications...ie explorers and 05+ mustangs

Not all explorers are 31 spline

Certain 8.8 explorers (I believe the 4x4s) and then you have the 2003-04 cobras. Those will give you 31 spline limited slips.

The Explorers are a different length I believe and the Cobras have a IRS in them so they would not work.

For reference:

Explorer axles are 30.5" on the driver side and 27.625" on the passenger side.
Mustang axles are 30.688" on both sides.
