Drivetrain Installing new axels

Excuse my ignorance here, but I'm in the middle of a 5-lug swap on my Fox. I ordered axles from LMR, and when I went to install them, I noticed the ends look different. Both are 28-spline, but the splines on the new axles are longer. Does that make a difference?
