314 would be kind of a waste of buying a new crank, wouldn't it?

342cid = stock bore + stroked
And what crank would you use to stroke it to 314 anyway? If the kid doesn't know what CID motor he has in the car, chances are he doesn't know much about the car period, IMHO.

Is it a 302 block or 351w block. A 408 stroker bored .060 is 414ci??? I'd just verify with the guy who's selling it. I've never heard of a 314 stroker.

using the 331 stroker crank on a stock bore is a 327. I have heard of a overboard 310 that uses a 60over block for raceing.

Closest thing I have heard of is a 317, which, I think, is a stock crank, reground undersize with the max offset, and some 2.3 liter four cylinder rods or something. Not sure, I would get some proof before I got it.

Well i learned a few things reading this thread:
Never knew you could make all those different engine combo's
Realized that a 314 can't be done (and if it could, why bother?)
The guy selling this car has his head up his butt

That means its a 302 bored over .060". For every .010" cut you gain 2 cubic inches on small blocks.
