I just got off the phone with a guy from Holcomb Motorsports, and they sell a Moser 33 spline axle kit in 5 lug with (2) axles with studs, spool, and c-clip eliminators for $609.00.

Are 33 spline axles stronger than 31's? Is this a good deal?

More surface area = more to spread the load across. The 33 splines will be stronger for sure. I'd pass on a spool though, unless it doesn't see much street duty.

The car will only see nice day weather, maybe once or twice a week and occasional strip use.

Whats the idea of a spool vs. trac-loc? I just want something bullet proof, for future plans.

A spool is like having a solid rear, both tires spin the same regardless of it you are turning.
I'd look into an eaton instead. It's rebuildable.
Guys run nines on 31 spline axles, some even quicker.
So if the 33 is costing alot more than a 31, go with the 31, if the prices are close, might as well have the 33 since you are buying a traction lock anyway.

The 31 and 33 spline kits are the same price. I will call them tomorrow and see what the difference in price would be if I bought a trac-loc instead of a full spool. I don't want to mess up my driving ability (corners, street use, etc.).

A spool will certainly do that.
