I need to buy some head gaskets to install a set of GT-40P heads on my 331. Can someone recommend a good not-too-expensive head gasket? I'll be running 10:1 compression with ARP head bolts.
I've looked on Summit and found several Fel Pro gaskets in the $35 range, but I'm confused about Loc wire (what is it and do I need it?) and correct bore measurement (is 4.100 correct?)
Also, what would be the best compressed thickness? What about compressed cc's? Since I want to run pump gas, I wouldn't mind dropping the compression a little with a thicker gasket.
