Ok, I'm no genius as to what this could be but I have a 331 stroker and when driving the dip stick comes flying out along with oil. Now mind you it doesn't happen until higher rpm's 5k and higher. What the hell is going on here? I didn't have breather cap at first but I do now and I notice oil on the bottom of the hood flying out the breather cap. Is this bad? I don't know if the dip stick flyies out anymore cause I taped it down. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure your Pcv valve/line is clean. I am dealing with the same sort of problem on my 289.

PCV system is blocked somewhere as stated above. Can cause oil seals to leak like the rear main, cam etc.

Get a new PCV valve and check all the PCV lines.

sounds more like you have a ring seal problem or a cracked ring.my high mileage motor does the same thing i'm just waiting for it to blow before i fix it.

This blows... I had this motor for no time and it's not working like it should. Dammit. I'm going to check the PCV and Compression thanks guys. Well I sure hope DSS built this thing right and it's just something stupid.

Thanks for the help...
