That is what i ended up doing! You can always throw better heads on it later!

alright guys thanks so much for the help.

wat i think im going to do is just a 306 w/forged internals and h/c/i, for now and when i get the money in the future to do a stroker i'll stroke it and a buy a new block

why not look into doing a long rod 306? ive never spec'd it out but ive always wanted to build one. probably gonna need custom rods and/or pistons but that extra millisecond of piston dwell at the top of the compression stroke will make for some good power
