I have a block freshly bored over.030 that i got really cheap. I can't decide whether to go with a 331 stroker kit with a 4340 forged crank, 4340 forged rods, Probe forged SRS piston(Flat top-10.3:1 compression).
OR
Just put an s-trim on my original 67,000 mile motor with the mods listed in my sig.

331 with afr heads and your intake fully ported
its up to you though. we can deabate this topic for months, but its up to you. do you want a very good foundation or about 80-100hp worth of boost? I go by the foundation of "build a strong motor first, then add your power adder"..... or something like that.

would driveability be the same with the stroker as the stock,....how much power and torque would the stroker kit add

I had a tired 302 with 130k miles, i bought a new 306 street fighter from Coast High Performance and the strapped on my vortech s trim, lets just say i wm very pleased and have one of the hottest cars period.

do both thats what I'm doing, went with a chp 347 and now I'm adding a sc with around 10psi max have 10:5.1 compression so can't go too high. but its going to be a street beast when i'm done with it. hoping for 500+rwhp
