Need opinions/help.......... I think im going to go the 331 route. What kit do you guys suggest? Have you seen the kits on ebay? Are the eagle kits any good? What should i be looking for as far as pistons and rods, etc? Need help on this, thanks guys. Also, what do you think, should i get a sportsman block and build, i have seen some being sold for a grand. I also found a website selling 331 short blocks for 1899, heres what it says about it- what do you guys think?

- Our 331/347 Performance Short Block is the perfect short block for your high 9 (in lower weight applications) to low 11 second cars. This bottom end is balanced to 28oz and ready for all the abuse the block can handle. Whether you are planning a high rpm n/a setup, a lot of nitrous, or lots of boost, this short block is the one for you! We don't have a 4340 crank/rod roller 302 short block because ITS A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY! We only offer the 4340 stuff for the 4 bolt Dart block and sportsman blocks since the stock roller block is always the weak point regardless of the rotating assembly inside of it. This short block is designed without the wristpin in the oil groove for the ultimate in reliability. Don't hesitate to ask us about custom internal parts for your exact needs, wants, and application!

Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. Let me know if you know where to get good deals on blocks or other parts, etc.... Also, what do you guys think about adding a vortech V-1 to my stock motor and eventually the 331? Is paxton better, i see their standard kit is a little cheaper. OR is it worth saving money for a V-2, ive always wanted a supercharger....

KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS CAR IS MY DAILY DRIVER AND IM ON A BUDGET. THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP!

No need to build a stroker and add a supercharger IMO. I think thats a waste with a stock block. You can build enough power to crack it with just the 302 and boost.

You'll get mixed opinions about the sportsman block. Some say they hold alot more, others disagree.

Boost your 302 and save for a Dart block. Vortechs are excellect blowers BTW.

Oh, and when the time comes....buy the best internals you can afford. The Eagle stuff is very nice.
