347 Dyno results Flat tappet

I just got back from the dyno and what a suprise. The motor is realy a 344 4.03 bore x 3.375 stroke. It is only 9.3 compression with Cantfeild heads and .560 lift soild flat tappet cam around 252@.05. The motor reacted not as expected when we changed carbs. This run was with a 650 mighty Demon and RPM air gap with a 4 hole 1" spacer. When we changed to a quick fuel 750 the motor gained torque down low and lost hp? Tried a 800 Holley HP carb with the same effect. 650 Barry Grant was the best, Tried different spacers, open, clover leaf. and super sucker and all lost power over the 4 hole. Maybe it is the low compression? Who cares look at that torque curve and 465hp at 6300 and still climbing all with 9.3 CR.

Looks like a nice progressive climb, I wonder where the TQ would drop off at since it was still climbing @6300?
I just have a small BG625Jr. for now, it ran great on the stock 289, hope it can be dialed in to work as well on it now stroked to 333.

Great numbers! What canfield heads do you have? I have Canfields too and I love them, great pieces.
