Carbed 358,stroker is perferable, but all considered its a better block and the carb set-up will run just fine.

Since you dont seem to have much in the way of speed parts that you would have to buy over again from an engine swap I would go for the 351 block. I would prefer an EFI set up over the carb, but thats just me. The good thing is how many cubes you can get out of the 351 with a stroker kit.

393-408ci, carb set-up

If the car saw more street duty I would say EFI....

Ive never seen a 347 run, and not worth the money.

Ill vote for the 351 carb motor.

If you go with either the 347 or 351/392/408 you will be in need of a better trans. If it's the stock T5 that is.
My vote is for a 392. Good torque to horsepower and can be built to last for years.
