347 OILING PROBLEM

I just recently built a 347 stroker motor, and just installed it in my car. I purchused a oil pump primer from summit and was turning it with a drill. After a lil while i noticed i started getting oil pressure. It was about 5psi so i sped the drill up a little faster and it got up to about 15.Where the problem is though that there is no oil making it up to the valvetrain. The rocker arms and everything is still dry on top of the head. I have looked down the distrubutor hole and oil appears to be hitting the cam.If there is any additional information anyone needs just ask, i really dont know what to do right now i just really need some advice. Thank you

ya, the drill was on reverse i dont know exactly how long but i spun it for quite awhile. Ya the block is new and was checked at the machine shop for any imperfections and new plugs were installed there also. I really dont know what the problem is but am starting to get worried. Any advice here is good advice since i really just dont know. Thanks for the help guys.

Just got done dealing with a similar issue.

While you are priming the motor, stand in front of the car and look straight into the backside of the distributor hole. If there is a ton of oil coming out of that hole, the plug is missing. There should be NO oil coming out of there. Oil SHOULD be coming out of the hole on the right (drivers side) side of the hole.

If you need a picture I can send one. Just stand in front of the car and look in the hole. If that hole in there is plugged, than your ok, if not, thats your problem (btw I plugged mine without pulling the timing cover, took 10 min and it seals perfect)

Let me know the status on this as I'd like to know how many other people suffer from this problem.
