Jesus, no! It'd probably run so rich it'd be dumping gas out the tailpipes!

theres no need to swap injectors... even on the 5.0's the stock 19 lb injectors are good up to 460hp!!! its mainly for peace of mind... also your NA injectors are a different "impedance" than teh 35lb'ers... they wouldnt function properly.

A N/A 2.3L uses high impedeance while a turbo 2.3T uses low impendance. This mean the EEC on a 2.3L N/A wouldn't fire a turbo injector or the other way around.

A 2.3L uses a 14lbs injector good up to 150hp after that you can use a MAF/19lbs in jectors off a 87-95' GT which someone said was good up to 400+ hp

Only if you have 8 cylinders. A Turbo 2.3 has to use 35 lb/hr injectors because it's making more power out of fewer cylinders. 35 lb/hr are good up to around 300 hp on a turbo 2.3L.

I'm not sure people understand there are two types of injectors ( maybe more but who knows )

There is the High Impendance ( used on N/A cars) and Low impendace (which motors like 2.3Ts use). This does not mean one is a low lbs/per hr and the other is high lbs/ per hr also

I'm a little lost on this one, he's talking about useing a Turbo injector on a N/A car. I'm sure its the difference in High and Low injectors that a N/A low lbs injectors can handle more power than a turbo big lb injector can but thats aother story. Also I'm sure a 35lb injector can handle more than 300hp but also another story besides that not all turbo 2.3Ts use 35lbs injectors, my car uses a 30lbs stock again another story.

As for the 8 Cyl part, If you go to upgrade a N/A 2.3L to a 19lbs injector you will have to buy the whole set (8) but you don't have to use all 8 if your 2.3L is just a 4 plug head. Now if your using a 2.3L DP like me then its a good deal because I got all 8 19lbs for my car for just 25.00 off ebay.

so now, the general consensus is 35# is overkill and possibly wouldnt even work...but 19lbs is a worthwhile upgrade?

List what you have modded...injectors only need to be upgraded when your car is requiring more fuel, unless you have some decent mods...upgrading the injectors will give you :

Less horse power (running to rich!)
Bad gas milage (running to rich!)
and maybe emissions trouble (again, running to rich!)

i hope this clears things up a little

A N/A 2.3L car's EEC WANT fire a 35lb 2.3Turbo injector period !!

listen to Wooster You really only upgrade injectors if you needing more fuel. If your N/A 2.3L is making more than 150hp Than I could see using 19lbs injector. If your N/A is making like 250 hp or more than maybe some 24lbs injectors.

By the way Woodster, don't you drive a Metro? Bad J/k I know I could just see you with a Metro and a bottle sticking out the back end of it blazing down the road at 100mph
