Hey guys,

I have a set of 1984 ford 351 that have been ported and polished 3-angle valve job etc. they havent had the guides cut down for the newer style valve stem seals though is it ok to run umbrella type seals for a slightly modified engine?

ya but they suck, if you want to run the good pc seal just buy the cutter and mandrel from someone like dougherbert.com and use a hand drill

How much would it cost from a machine shop to have them cut the guide boss down to run the good seals? what is the normal size seal for a strip application? .530" I think I read somewhere right?
