351 Question

351 l/t , the 302 header will be pulled up with taller deck and misalign every thing. you might be able the modify collectors and h pipe but it probable would be alot of work. i ran mac 1 3/4 long tubes on my 351 supercharger coupe they fit so/so. if its a keeper i would get some bassani or kooks. for all the expense and pain in the ass i only saw 11hp diference between long and shorts on my supercharged 351.

Depends on the funds? And the the price of the stroker kit? I found a 427 kit for around 2g's and a 408 for around 1200. I'm going to have a buddy look at them to see what he thinks of them. They both have eagle components, so i was woundering if it was good stuff? But i'm shooting for the end of the year! I will be selling off my cobra intake and T.B MAF CAI and from the sounds of it my L/T's and other stuff from my 302. I'm also selling a nice NOS kit and chip. All this is on craigslist. peace

351's have larger head bolts too. You will need the head bolt holes drilled for your Gt40's if those heads were cast for a 302.

I use 1 3/4 BBK's on my 351. They fit well and offer a huge flange opening that is actually too large for some factory heads, leaving insufficient mating surface area.

When you build the 351, you'll see the great difference in block strength between the two engines.

So did you build your block? Is it stroked? What kit did you use for the stroker? peace

I am glad to see another 351w stroker :nice:

I found my rotating assy on ebay through TMD. All parts were name brand and of high quality.

Hope things go smoothly for you.

I have some swap info on my website if you have not seen it already.

Hey John,

I sent you an e-mail, but I am not sure if you got it. I have a TMD 418 kit that I can make you a great deal on. I have been going back and forth, but am leaning towards using a 302 based motor now. All my parts are new in the box and I will meet you half way for delivery and avoid shipping costs all together.

E-mail or call. I don't check messages on here very often
