Just picked up my 351W, that has the D0OE-C heads on it. It's a .040 over block. I want to bump compression up to about 10-10.5:1. I'm having one hell of a time figuring out the ± cc on pistons and don't want to order the wrong ones. Here's what I'm planning on running...

Fresh .040 over 351W block
Fresh D0OE Windsor or GT-40P heads with gasket match
Probably a custom cam after pistons are decided.
Long tube headers
GT-40 truck lower w/ Explorer upper
MegaSquirt EFI

I was looking at a set of Keith Blacks. I've heard that JE's are good also.

My pistons are from the late 80's. Forged and have a deep dish in them. probably running lower then 8.5 to 1 compression. I would just talk to some respectable engine builders and ask them.

I have liked the Probe pistons I have used...

Check out FordStrokers.com
Jim can get you squared away.

There are calculators on the net that will calculate CR for you.
Look for ones that ask for the height of the 1st ring.
I have an excel sheet at home if you can't find one.
