351W with C4...Do I need change driveshaft?

Hey guys. Do I need a new drive shaft if I go with a 351 and a C4? I've got the motor almost built but tranny is still up in the air, C6 or C4. If I go with the C4 can i keep my current driveshaft from my 302 T5 combo or do i have to get one custom built?

try it and see.. if not.. get a custom one.

no that the c4 is the same length as the aod, so no unless I got bad info...

try and see....

I'd like to just try and see but by the time I get the motor dropped in it will be racing season. I don't want to have to try and get a custom shaft then cause who knows how long that would take. I'd like to find out before so i can make a contingency plan if it is different.

I am running a C4 behind a 351W on an AJE Kmember with HPM drop solid mounts and a FRPP crossmember with an energy suspension trans. mount, and the stock-length FRPP aluminum DS fits perfectly.

So IMO the length is OK, I am not sure about the yoke on your stock DS being OK with your C4 but that's easy enough for you to check...
