03 GT with 5spd, CAI, 73mm BBK throttle intake, cat back and lmr’s staggered 17” bullitts. Drive car regularly and frequently on the highway. Looking to get new gears and trying to decide between 373 and 410? Obviously looking to go faster around town but it does spend some time on the highway. Haven’t tuned yet cause I’m waiting until after the gears. Suggestions?

Hi,
You didn’t mention tire aspect ratio. The mechanical advantage you’ll have is worth going to 4.10’s, vs 373’s.
If you’re running 275/45/17” tires & rims with 5th gear’s Ratio being 0.68, at 80 MPH in 5th, running 3.73’s. motor’s RPM’s will be 2550. 2803RPM’s running 4.10’a in 5th, same setup.
Guess it’s how often you’re on the highway, vs lower speeds, continually..

Good luck! Looks like a 3.73 app to me, but that’s your call

It seems to me that the answer is in the base project goals..................

I have a very similar setup but with an auto, I plan on putting 3.73s purely because I drive about 40 highway miles a day! I’m saving the 4.10s for my fox body that is not a daily driver.

I have a similar setup with 4.10 and I’m at 2600 rpm on the highway doing 75 which I don’t think is bad. I’d say go with 4.10, it’s definitely worth it

The limit's gotta be about 30 miles a day with the 4.10s, too much of a grind.
