I was lookin at my VIN# and noticed it said for the weight of the car and it said 3770lbs and then something in kgs. It's now a V8 with LOTS of weight redution and is prolly under 3000 easy. Any ideas???

i'm thinking what you're looking at is the gross rating of the car with that motor-i don't think i've ever seen a fox body-even a 5.0 GT vert-that weighed in that heavy without anything added to it. and honestly the 2.3 is a pretty heavy little 4 popper. if you've gutted the car of everything nonessential you're probably about 3100-3200 with you in it and a 1/4 tank of gas

If that was the weight on the door jam sticker, then that's the gross weight. Gross weight meaning how much the car can pull safely fully loaded, like with 4 passengers and I think luggage too.
