The 3dCarbon™ 05 Mustang “Boy-Racer” Rear Quarter Window Louvers are manufactured in High Pressure polyurethane and attach directly to the rear quarter window glass. Installation is easy with the 3M Double face tape pre applied. The louvers will require minimal prepping for painting prior to installation. We expect to offer the louvers pre painted in factory matching colors soon, call for availability. A pre cut black vinyl panel will visually seal off the inside of the rear quarter window. Individual pre cut black decals are supplied to create the louver hole effects on the outside.

GSAgentED,

Ground Dynamics has some nice stuff. There are some bolt on side louvers available through them, I can't remember if I was looking at the solid side scoop of the louver.... Here is the link and then you can always email John@grounddynamics.com and ask him installation questions. Helpful fella. Good Luck in your quest...

WTF??? A decal to create "the effects of slots"! Might as well get the one without slots.
The Street Scenes are looking better and better.

Anyone got the website for "Street Scenes" louvers?

I'm not too thrilled with the idea of 3D Carbons non-functioning louvers.

Not that I actually look out those tiny side windows.... but?

Street Scene louvers attach with 3m tape also. Street Scene has a Gen 1 louver as shown in this picture. They do have openings. There is also a Generation 2 design in the works right now. Pictures should be available some time next week. The Gen 2 is a little more squared off.

Those do the best job emulating the 65-66 vents, IMO. I'll probably be getting these myself.

(Ignore the God-awful rear window louvers)

66 Blake 96 - Oh well I can't ignore the GOD AWFUL Louvers... For I have one on order and actually like them.... LOL... Why do some folks find it necessary to throw a negative connotation to things like that? Again, to each his own, but think before you type. Not everyone will find them God Awful and if you are showing the 1/4 window louvers..you simply could have said "Here is an adequate picture of some 1/4 window louvers"... The attention will be taken to the positive in your comment, and thusly, you do not inadvertantley offend people.

Feel the Love man! LOL...

Jennifer

P.S. My God Awful louver will be here April 15th... can't wait to rice my car... LOL

I don't find it necessary to "throw a negative connotation to things", but I am exercising my right to an opinion just as you have a right to bad taste with your precious window louvers. You can be offended by a subjective opinion if you like, but you can keep your touchy-feely bruised sensibilities to yourself. I'll also ask you to keep your version of forum etiquette to yourself. LOL at your 20 posts telling me to "think before you type".

Enough of this care bear hijack. Back to topic please.

Despite the non-functioning design..... my 3D Carbon louvers should ship this Friday.

IMO these looked the best. NOT that there is anything wrong with the other choices. (got to be PC around here)

I have done some plastic modification work in the past, and perhaps these louvers can be altered to become functionable.

I'll post pics if mods are successful.

the non-functioning part doesnt bother me, what bothers me about the 3dcarbon ones are the decals for the slots. I wish they were like the MRTs and Street Scenes were light can still come through.

Once my 3D Carbon louvers arrive, I intend to see if the decal area can be cut to make the proper louver opening.

Let the light shine in!

I'm impressed with the style, and fit around the window seam of the 3D louvers.

thats a great idea.
I agree I like the 3dcarbon louvers look and fit better than the street scenes generation one louvers.

That double sided tape is what's used on the vent shade for pickups/vans I have had the plastic/lexan break or crack before that tape ever lets go.
