hey out there does any know if a 3g alternator from a 94 taurus bolt onto a 92 mustang

If it's a Taurus 3.0 engine it'll work. That's what I have on my engine.

On my 90, I had to cut out a notch in the alt bracket to make it fit other than that it should fit.

alright so i couldnt find the taurus alt but found one from a 96 tbird so now ive seen a lot of threads on how to wire it but does anyone have a descriptive thread im really confused on how to wire the alt thanks any help is appreciated

The tbird and taurus 3g's are considered the "large case" version which is basically the same as the "small case" version from an sn95 except it requires a good bit of the bracket to be cut to fit where as the small case alts only require a slight file of the bracket.

alright i just finshed readin all the info so pretty much all i do i is make a y connection for the small white connection the other stock harness is unmodified and connect the alt output to a fusable link which is connected to the starter moter solenoid and thats it how come theres so many variations of this installation
