Pretty good combo, i scored a used 3G with a warranty for $40 bucks and spent about another $10 on wiring, can't beat it for good reliable charging. Now the car revs quick and clean and doesn't hesitate anymore down low. Extra sparking power is important when your running a little on the rich side LOL. I'd highly advise it for whoever hasn't done one. If you're not picky about running junkyard parts you can get the alt for pretty cheap used, and i personally would trust a used genuine Ford part over a rebuilt Autozone part.
