i am trying to replace the 3rd brake light bulb on my 92 convertible with luggage rack. i removed the two outer screws but the lens does not budge. i am afraid to crack the lens. is there a trick to removing this lens?
The 2 bulbs melt the plastic housing at the bottom. pry very carefully, it is basically a tray with sides. I use a butter knife and a one of those paint can openers.... The lens is part of the tray.
Thanks 89oem for your advice. I used two plastic screw drivers, one on each end, and wiggled it out. As you stated, the 2 bulbs melted the bottom and made it a bit difficult to slide out.
