I am trying to decide if to get 4.10 gears for daily driving or should i go with 3.73s. What would be the average diff. in gas milage and what kind of top speed could i expect with the 4.10s.

mytight95 said:did you ever have your 4.10s with the stock intake......Mygreen94gt???? just curious.. maybe that is what is making it feel like that....lol Mine isn't completely stock but......not large enough....
Please note, as I'm sure you did, that Mrgreen94gt is running an aod, while the poster is running a 5 speed. That does make a bit of a difference.Mrgreen94gt said:With your car, 4.10 all the way. I use 4.10 in my daily driver, which I commute with on an 85 mile round trip three days a week. . . .

matthiasj said:go with 3:73, there wouldnt be that much difference, but you would save on gas

now if your the kind of guy who likes to cruise at 85 on the freeway and think 3k is high revving, just think about your others cars or wifes car,
the v6 taurus or the honda civic they ride much higher. dont feed into the bs that it will wear out your engine. it doesnt these cars. ok ok a taurus motor craps out every 100k but thats becaus ethat 3.0 is a piece, all the tauruses and minivans need a new engine around there.![]()
